At the very last minute of 2023, there was another beautiful milestone to celebrate at the Future Mobility Park. CROW and Connekt are to become new partners of the park in order to combine knowledge and forces.

It is an important moment for FMP because both organizations contribute in their own way and can benefit from the knowledge available at the park. Through CROW, municipalities and road authorities can get a place and facility at the park. This will allow them to prepare for the future of mobility in an even more practical and concrete way. Soon, in collaboration with De Haagse Hogeschool (or The Hague University of Applied Sciences), municipalities and target groups will be testing new ways to better detect blind people at smart intersections and improve acoustic signaling. We are also creating space for smart infrastructure and autonomous vehicles and robots on public roads through research and testing. This will be done with insurers and in coordination with the RDW.

Connekt's extensive network, including governments, knowledge institutions and companies, will have a permanent place at FMP starting in 2024.  To meet and experience new mobility in practice, as well as exchange knowledge and experience for mobility policy and implementation. We jointly organize sessions, demos and workshops on topics of concern to members such as: data, hubs and shared mobility, automated and remote controlled driving, traffic management and mobility management.

From Connekt, Marc Verhage, Max Schreuder and Tom van Dam were present and on behalf of CROW Pieter Litjens, Frans Bekhuis and John Francis Pommer. Together with FMP chairman Joop Veenis, they made the cooperation official by raising the joint flags.
