As one of the first major cities, a self-driving minibus, the HagaShuttle was driving in The Hague. The shuttle drove from a nearby bus stop to the main entrance of the HagaZiekenhuis. It was taken out of service when the new houses and entryroad was finished and a new approval was required.
A hyperloop is capsule that travels very fast through a vacuum tube to transport people or goods. The idea was presented by Elon Musk in 2012 and has since been picked up and further developed by several universities. The first testtube is still in operation at FMP and can be combined with a visit to the Hardt office and experience center just nextdoor to FMP.
We have smart ships available at FMP! The first operational automated Ferry in the EU that serviced in South Holland to make the Recreation Island Koudenhoorn accessible. After a visit to Rotterdam where we supported the closure of a bridge we added an additional and bigger model (the Ferry Solution). Besides the Ferry we have a demonstrator that removes plastic and garbage from inland waters.
i.c.w. CROW and Sweco and the Municipality of Rotterdam optimize acoustic signaling at smart intersections so that blind people can cross more safely, even after 10 p.m. when most rattles are turned off to prevent noise pollution in the neighbourhood.
Based on data we can determine better where the changes for automated, on demand last mile transport are in our region.

We were asked by the municipality of Rotterdam to act as project leaders to guide the realization of approximately 100-150 neighborhood hubs.
In the summer of 2022, the streetcar rails, VRIs and asphalt at the intersection of Vasteland and Westersingel in Rotterdam will be renewed. By putting down mobility hubs, we will help keep the area accessible.
